Short Film Making - Mirror Deception
The project was to create a story and develop the script with dialogues of 8 minutes. It had to be a
fictional story. The shooting had to be carried out and followed by editing and post-production. The time
period to complete this project was 2 weeks.

Videography is the process of capturing and producing video footage for various purposes, such as entertainment, advertising, education, news, and more. It involves the use of a video camera or a digital camera with video capabilities to record and capture live-action events or scenes. The main objective of this course was to create a fictional short film of 8 minutes. To gain knowledge about camera angles, lighting, editing, camera operations, etc. To learn how to visually narrate a story within the time period. We were a group of 4 students working on this project as a team. Initially, we were introduced to the theoretical part of videography, types of shots and cuts, camera angles, camera resolution, and other details before we got hands-on with the camera. 1 week of theory and pre-production and class followed by 1 week of production and post-production.
LEARNINGS
Camera operation, lighting, camera adjustments according to light, camera angles, explored types of cinematic shots. Story writing, coming up with a script and its development, execution of the shot and, trying to capture the emotions and feel. Principles of visual communication, such as composition, framing, and color theory and how to use these elements to convey ideas, emotions, and messages.
